Jacada Announces Universal Application Network Validation
Jacada and Siebel Systems Maximize the Value of Legacy Systems
ATLANTA, January 13, 2004 – Jacada Ltd. (Nasdaq: JCDA), a leading legacy integration provider, today announced that Siebel Systems has validated Jacada Integrator 4.0 with Universal Application Network (UAN) a standards-based architecture for business integration. Siebel Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: SEBL) is a leading provider of multichannel business applications software.
Jacada and Siebel Systems' enhanced integration solution combines best practices drawn from both Siebel Systems' vast library of integration applications and Jacada's approach to integrating legacy mainframe and midrange computing systems. Jacada's validation on UAN brings together two industry-leading technologies to provide a solution, which enables rapid access between business applications and core legacy applications. This solution allows companies to take advantage of their legacy infrastructure, using robust, real-time business processes that can span the enterprise.
Developed by Siebel Systems in collaboration with leading technology companies, Universal Application Network (UAN) is a standards-based architecture for business integration. As part of UAN, Siebel Systems provides packaged software - Siebel Business Integration Applications - which provide pre-built integration processes that significantly reduce the cost and complexity associated with traditional integration methods.
Jacada Integrator bridges the gap between old and new computing systems by rapidly unlocking the core enterprise data and business logic found buried within legacy applications, which handle the vast majority of organizations' transactional processing.
"Jacada enables organizations to leverage existing IT legacy investments to complete the 'last mile' of a UAN implementation," said Russ Duffey, Vice President of business development for Jacada. "Depending on the number of legacy systems involved, Jacada can deliver additional Total Cost of Ownership savings of 20-40%."
With this validation, joint customers of Siebel Systems and Jacada benefit from accelerated real-time integration of legacy systems with other enterprise applications, thus reducing development and maintenance costs. By incorporating legacy data within existing business processes and applications, organizations can cost-effectively leverage business-critical data that is often difficult to access. "With over 40 joint customers with Siebel, Jacada is uniquely qualified to deliver universal legacy integration between UAN and a wide range of legacy applications," said Duffey.
Siebel Systems forms alliances with proven technology leaders to deliver tangible business benefits throughout the enterprise. Using Universal Application Network and validated partner solutions, customers can pursue a best-of-class software acquisition strategy. The Siebel Validation Program applies rigorous technical scrutiny to evaluate the integration of third-party solutions for Universal Application Network compliance. Integrations that meet the strict testing criteria are validated and documented by the Siebel Validation Program. Validation documentation is available on the Siebel Partner Directory at www.siebel.com/partners/dir/directory.shtm.
